WEBSITE LAUNCH
Students set up and activate their websites. These are just first drafts of the sites that they will develop over the course of the semester.
Students should select images of their own making or from the public domain that represent themselves in a metaphoric, symbolic and/or aesthetic sense. These images should be incorporated into the design of students’ homepages.
At a minimum, sites must have a homepage that establishes a look, style and navigational logic that can be further developed over the coming weeks. Students may wish to establish other sections for their sites, such as pages for Bio, Images, Audio and Video. A Contact section or link may also be useful, but be careful not to include any vital private information, and take care to load any contact data in a format that can’t be easily copied (for example, turn any text into an image file).
This assignment will be critiqued by the class but not graded [except as part of class participation].
